Suppliers

We have no supplier membership, registration or subscription fees; neither do we charge any transaction fees, even for electronic invoicing.

Our services to suppliers include:

  • Catalogue construction
  • Support for NHS eClassification
  • Support for electronic order receipt without re-keying into local sales order processing systems
  • Implementation of electronic invoicing
  • Support for GS1 GTIN implementation.

We are able to work with any supplier of goods or services, and we have no barriers to participation.
As a result of this policy we benefit from a very high level of participation from the supplier community, with some 750 suppliers now working with us. The type of suppliers for whom we work range from medical device to food, and office supplies to agency staff.


The benefits to the supplier community include the receipt of orders with correct codes and descriptions, speed of invoice matching, increased incidence of contracts, visibility of catalogue, contract price and contract expiry data, automatic notification of contract data authorisation or rejection by Trusts, automatic warning of contract expiry and the lack of requirement to provide per-Trust catalogue data.


Supplier trade associations recognise that Healthlogistics’ approach has been proven in many other leading industries, and this initiative is strongly supported by the ABHI and BAREMA industry organisations. Healthlogistics is a member of the ABHI and regularly attends its Supply Chain and eBusiness Working Group meetings. The HL-hybris process takes into account the principle of “once-only” data provision by suppliers, which is referred to in the ABHI’s August 2007 policy statement on e-commerce.
